Chow Tai Fook Participates in Franco-Chinese Branding Forum

The Group participated in the 3rd Franco-Chinese Branding Forum in April 2017 in Paris. Developed at the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, Franco-Chinese Branding Forum is a platform to facilitate cultural exchange between China and France with staunch support from both countries. The Forum took place at the headquarters of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization on 5 April 2017. Former Prime Minister of France, Jean-Pierre Raffarin; Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, Jean-Marie Le Guen; French design master, Philippe Starck; Chief Designer of Huawei, Mathieu Lehanneur; President of China Association for Quality Promotion, Zhaobin Liu; and Minister Counsellor of the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy in France, Shaoping Li, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

Chow Tai Fook Managing Director, Kent Wong, represented the Group to share insight on "How do Chinese brands go global", followed by a panel discussion with panelists including Paul Andreu, designer of National Centre for The Performing Arts of China; Lei Cheng, Founder of 798 Art District at Beijing; Gaël Perdriau, Mayor of Saint-Étienne City; and Ulysee Gosset, renowned reporter of French economic channels.

During the event, Chow Tai Fook Creative Director, Max Lam, signed up with 6 French designers on behalf of the Group for collaboration of new collections which shall be launched later in FY2018.
