08 Sep 2019

On 8 September, Mr. Max Lam, General Manager of Creative & Design and Chief Creative Director of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group was conferred Fellowship by the Canadian Chartered Institute of Business Administration ("CCIBA") in recognition of his pioneering practices in jewellery design innovation.

“Being awarded the CCIBA Fellowship is a professional recognition for my management abilities, yet more importantly a recognition for the development of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Creative Centre,” said Max. “Since its establishment in 2013, the Jewellery Creative Centre has been evolved from a product development-oriented taskforce to an all-rounded and multi-functional team. The team has been consistently expanding its roles into areas like data analysis, project planning, design and manufacturing, photography and promotion, etc. Thanks to my colleagues who are in relentless pursuit of innovation and professionalism, we had gone through challenging times and enjoyed happy moments together in every single stage of the evolvement process. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the trust and support that the Group provided to the team of the Jewellery Creative Centre.” With extensive experience in high-end jewellery design, Max successfully invented “One Prong Setting” which goes beyond the traditional limit and is patented worldwide.

“The era of big data is expected to propel momentous changes in the development and global market perspective of the jewellery industry,” Max added. “Thus, the Jewellery Creative Centre will strive to build a better platform for nurturing talents and enabling idea exchange between international industry players, so as to contribute to the Group and the sustainable development of the industry.”

Incorporated by Letters Patent from the Government of Canada, CCIBA is the only chartered institute of business administration in Canada. Its Fellowship award is conferred to those who made major creative contributions to the advancement of knowledge through research or who hold a position of eminence in the practice of management or business administration.
