Chow Tai Fook Jewellery is delighted to announce the grand opening of its first new image store in Shanghai, coinciding with the city’s “May 5 Shopping Festival”. Located at 550 Nanjing East Road in the Huangpu District, this five-storey store boasts a gross floor area of over 1,260 square metres, redefining the jewellery shopping experience with spacious retail areas and a gallery-like layout. The grand opening also heralds a vote of confidence in the Group’s continued investment in Mainland China’s consumer market. Since its soft launch in January, the store has seen strong footfall and promising store productivity, attracting over a thousand daily visitors during festive and holiday seasons.
The Group’s new image store in Shanghai, alongside those four others located in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xi’an, marks a key progress in our brand transformation. The store celebrates traditional Chinese culture and craftsmanship with the iconic “Chow Tai Fook Timeless Red” as its signature colour, a vivid emblem of the brand’s rich cultural heritage and cultural significance. Situated on the bustling pedestrian street of Nanjing East Road, one of Shanghai’s most vibrant shopping districts, the store has opened its door to global consumers, offering an innovative shopping experience as we reaffirm our brand essence in showcasing the beauty of China to the world through exquisite jewellery.
Customers can explore themed spaces ranging from classic fashion jewellery to high jewellery and gold jewellery touting exquisite craftsmanship on the first four floors. These themed spaces are designed to deliver immersive and personalised experiences for shoppers. The fifth floor is home to the “CTF for YOU” Brand Experience Centre, featuring interactive displays and bespoke customisation services for a truly personalised experience.
The store’s grand opening coincided with the “May 5 Shopping Festival”, marking a key opportunity for the Group to capture market potential. During the festival, more than 20 jewellery salons were hosted across different districts in Shanghai, each themed around traditional craftsmanship, exclusively for our VIP customers. On the “520” occasion, a date phonetically linked to “I Love You” in Chinese, the Group also unveiled the new pink edition of the CTF Rouge Collection, a design that elegantly intertwines the value of jewellery with the concept of “wearable love”.
