27 May 2012

Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited ("Chow Tai Fook" or the "Company", stock code: 1929) has been selected as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Mainland 100 Index effective from 4 June 2012.

The Hang Seng Mainland 100 Index ("HSML100 Index") comprises the 100 largest companies which derive the majority of their sales revenue (or profit or assets, as the case may be) from Mainland China. The HSML 100 Index includes H shares, Red Chips and shares of other Hong Kong-listed Mainland China companies. As such, the HSML100 Index offers a comprehensive benchmark to gauge the Mainland China sector of the Hong Kong stock market.

Dr. Henry Cheng, Chairman of Chow Tai Fook commented, "Inclusion in this index is an affirmation of Chow Tai Fook's strategy and accomplishments since we entered the Mainland China market in 1998. We are a home-grown Chinese luxurious jewellery brand, with over 1,400 stores in Mainland China and approximately 56%1 of our revenue has come from the Mainland China market. We have a deep understanding of the Mainland China market, and we continually adjust our strategy and product mix to market demand. We identify strongly with the HSML100 Index and want to make it clear that Mainland China is the primary geographic focus of our company."

The membership of HSML100 Index is reviewed every quarter and is dependent on its full market capitalisation (based on the average month-end market capitalisation in the past 12 months) and freefloat-adjusted market capitalisation (based on the 12-month average market capitalisation after a freefloat adjustment).
