The Beijing Sport University Honorary Board Appointment of Henry Cheng cum “Cheng Kar-Shun Champion Development Foundation” Presentation Ceremony organised by Beijing Sport University Education Foundation was held at the Beijing Sport University on 9 May 2023.

With the aim of supporting more young people to follow their dreams and contribute to national athletic development, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group (“Chow Tai Fook”) donated RMB120 million to Beijing Sport University Education Foundation in April 2022 to establish the “Cheng Kar-Shun Champion Development Foundation” (the “Foundation”) in support of cultivating top-notch sports talents for Mainland China.

At the ceremony, Beijing Sport University announced the appointment of Dr. Henry Cheng, Chairman of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, as the Honorary Board Member of Beijing Sport University and unveiled the logo for the “Cheng Kar-Shun Champion Development Foundation”. To realise the vision of the Foundation, incentives and gold medals were presented to Beijing Sport University students who ranked top eight at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games. Incentives were also presented to the staff from related faculties and scientific research teams of Beijing Sport University in recognition of their significant contributions to the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games.
