Blessing the Earth through Green Donation Actions
Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group has always upheld its care and responsibility for the planet, actively promoting the concept of sustainable development. In 2024, through the online walking with donation matching event “Inherit Happiness Through Walking Together” and a plastic recycling initiative, we unite the efforts of employees, consumers, and partners to collectively send the most sincere blessings to the Earth.
In the donation walking event, we utilised the "Walk Together" app to transform participants' WeChat step counts into donation contributions for protecting the Spoon-billed Sandpiper. The event attracted 33,255 participants, who collectively contributed nearly 1.7 billion steps, which were ultimately converted into RMB 150,000, fully donated to the Spoon-billed Sandpiper rescue project, supporting the protection of endangered species.
At the same time, we organised plastic recycling actions in Shunde, Wuhan, and Shenzhen, collecting a total of 113.82 kilograms of PET plastic bottles. These plastic bottles were professionally processed and transformed into eco-friendly school uniforms, which were donated free of charge to children in underdeveloped areas, allowing them to feel the warmth and care of society. In addition, we held a “Plastic Reuse” event to encourage employees to exercise their creativity by redesigning plastic products, giving them new value and further enhancing environmental awareness.
