Global Volunteer Month

Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group unites the efforts of colleagues from various regions and, through their actions during "Global Volunteer Month" in every September, we remain committed to creating a sustainable and inclusive world.

In 2007, under the leadership of our Chairman, Dr. Cheng Ka Shun, he attended the inauguration and officiated at the pledge ceremony with the senior management, showing the Group’s support and recognition for the volunteer services.

In 2024, we took this commitment to new heights with a refreshed identity and a clear focus. This initiative brought together hundreds of volunteers who were united by a shared purpose: to protect the environment and strengthen communities. In just a month, we organised 57 impactful events, dedicating 7,565 hours to meaningful service.

Mainland China: Planting Seeds of Change

Our efforts are centred on environmental protection, blending education with action to inspire sustainable living. In Shenzhen, under the theme "Practicing Low-Carbon Living, Caring for Our Ecological Home", we encouraged individuals to embrace eco-friendly habits, from reducing waste to conserving energy. Meanwhile, in the West region, we rolled out a tree-planting event titled "Greening First, Planting Dreams in Our Hearts". Each sapling planted was a symbol of hope, contributing to urban greening and a healthier planet.

Collaboration took centre stage in the North, Shunde, and West regions, where over a hundred volunteers joined forces for large-scale clean-up campaigns. From the historic grounds of the " Clean-up The Temple of Heaven in Beijing" to the bustling streets of Shunde’s "Clean-up Activity" and the community parks of the West’s "Walking together to protect environment", these initiatives not only beautified spaces but also strengthened the bonds within communities.

Hong Kong: Collective effort in the promotion of green living

Our Hong Kong volunteer team partnered with Learning Bridge, along with the participation of young individuals with special educational needs and their families, we went to "Urban Oasis", operated by the Christian Family Services Centre to conduct farming activities. The volunteers not only revitalised the oasis but also fostered interactions among diverse groups and promoted inclusivity.
