Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Shares Retail Insights at The Hong Kong Economic Summit 2026
On 16 March, Mr Patrick Cheung, Chief Digital Officer of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, joined The Hong Kong Economic Summit 2026 organised by Metro Finance. He served as a panellist exploring the role of enterprises in accelerating new economy development in the themed discussion “Seizing Global Opportunities, Strengthening Economic and Trade Momentum”.
Patrick was joined by esteemed leaders from public and private sectors, including Mr Bryan Peng, Executive Director of the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, HKSAR Government, and Mr Justin Chiu, Executive Director of CK Asset Holdings Limited.
During the discussion, Patrick shared how the Group is elevating and innovating the retail experience amidst an evolving landscape. Since launching its brand transformation in 2024, Chow Tai Fook Jewellery has embraced strategic IP collaborations as a focus of its product optimisation strategy, which seeks to cultivate new and younger customer segments by resonating with younger consumers’ pursuit of emotional connection and personal expression, while enhancing brand desirability.
Speaking of the paradigm shift in retail, especially with the evolution of AI, Patrick shared how the Group’s e-commerce, propelled by accelerated digitalisation, complements and enhances the omnichannel shopping experience, where digital engagement, such as live streaming and AI avatars, drives interest and emotional connection, whilst brick and mortar stores, such as the Group’s first flagship store on Canton Road, deliver immersive experiences, together creating a seamless and integrated customer journey that strengthens engagement and brand affinity. Riding on the high tide of AI, Patrick noted that the retail industry’s strategic focus will be on deeper integration of databases and AI within robust security frameworks, while unlocking the value of cross-border data applications.
The Hong Kong Economic Summit is the flagship annual event hosted by Metro Finance, attended by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, and serves as a high-level platform for political, business and academic leaders to share insight into Hong Kong’s strategic positioning and future growth in the global economy.
