Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Champions the Future of Natural Diamonds at London Seminar

03 DEC 2025

On 3 December, Mr. Simon Hui, Director, Diamond Management Centre of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, participated in an industry outreach seminar “Jewellery Horizons: Unlocking Opportunities Between the UK and Asia”, organised by the HKTDC London Office in partnership with Retail Jeweller and the National Association of Jewellers, where he shared insights into the future of natural diamond jewellery in Asia.

Simon opened by spotlighting the strong potential for UK-Asia collaboration, underscoring the paradigm shift in repositioning UK jewellery towards Asian markets. He also emphasised Hong Kong’s unique proposition as a gateway to both Chinese Mainland and the international community, with its robust finance, logistics and supply chain infrastructure enabling UK businesses to tap into Asian luxury market recovery.

Turning to the growth opportunities within the natural diamond industry on the road to recovery, Simon highlighted the Group’s ongoing brand transformation as a key driver. This strategic pivot unleashes new market values by marrying the intrinsic values of natural diamonds with traditional gold craftsmanship. Signature collections such as CTF Rouge, CTF Joie, and the Chow Tai Fook Palace Museum, through harmonising these precious materials with modern aesthetics, have catered to dual consumer appetites: providing the cultural resonance of heritage storytelling whilst preserving the investment value of the materials.

This focus on emotional connection and product innovation extends to the T•MARK diamond brand. Simon explained that its patented nano-inscription technology not only ensures ethical traceability, but now also enables personalisation services through the engraving of customised messages and photos, fostering deeper emotional attachment and a stronger sense of ownership.

The seminar welcomed active dialogue from across the trade. Simon was joined by Bridget McCusker of Mintel as well as other industry players, collectively exploring practical insights for the industry ahead.
